

Posada del Puruay is located on the incomparable countryside of Cajamarca, at the foot of the Peruvian Andes, next to the river Puruay and surrounded by nature, you find this marvellous colonial hotel and museum constructed by old Spanish manners with wonderful Cajamarcan details.

Posada del Puruay is located with "Plaza de Armas" (the central square) the centre of Cajamarca as the star ting point, take the "Jr. Amalia Puga" road at the church side (5th block), go straight ahead until the end, on the way the street changes name to "Jr. Puno ", at the end of the 2nd block turn to the right and enter "Jr. Arróspide de Loyola" at the 3rd block. At the end of this block turn left and enter "Av. Angamos" (main road to "Porcón Hualgayoc") and continue on this road for about 10 to 20 minutes until Km. 4.5.
The 164 km (102 mile) trip from the city of Arequipa to the Colca Valley takes about 3 and half hours by road.

Next to a stone cut arch on the first floor, you find four rooms, which windows point at the vegetable garden. In two of them you find a night/ dressing table cut from a huge stone fixed to the wall, which gives an unusual and impressive look to the room. Two stairs lead up to the second floor, where the other 10 rooms are located, with a great view of the surroundings.For your comfort, all of them have TV-set, cable TV, VCR, telephone and bathroom with tub and a water heater.According to the room size, we have divided the rooms into five categories: single room, double room, executive room (2 beds), Suite Duplex and Suite Senior.Extra beds for kids/adults and cradles are available for the Suites.
The hotel has 40 rooms, all of them with different size and shapes,
due to the original untouched style of the colonial house.
