ITINERARY

Day 01 Lima

Arrival and transfer to the hotel

Day 02 Lima / Trujillo

Breakfast in the hotel.
Transfer to the airport. Deaparture to Trujillo
Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Guided visit to the city and its more interesting surroundings. Then, guided visit to Chan-Chan pre-Inca complex and Sun n’ Moon Temples. Lenght, visit to HuanchacoBeach
Return to the hotel.

Day 03 Trujillo / Chiclayo

Breakfast in the hotel Leave to Chiclayo by bus transportation. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Guided visit to the city and its more interesting surroundings. Then visit to the Museum TUMBAS REALES recently open by the cooperation of the archaeologist Dr. Walter Alva who discovered the amazing tombs. Return to the hotel.

Day 04 Chiclayo / Lima

Breakfast in the hotel
Transfer to the airport. Return to Lima
Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Guided city tour downtown Lima and its suburbs
Then, visit to the Anthropological and ArchaeologicalMuseum. Return to the hotel.

Day 05 Lima / Pisco / Ica / Nasca

Early in the morning breakfast in the hotel
0430 Departure to Pisco by private transportation
Arrival and Guided visit to the BallestasIslands by boat-sky. Continue journey to Ica. Guided visit to Huacachina Lagoon, local museum and Wineries. Continue journey to Nasca. Fly over to the Nasca Lines by light plane. Transfer to the in Nasca.

Day 06 Nasca / Arequipa

Breakfast in the hotel
Leave to Arequipa by bus royal class.
Stops during the journey to appreciate nature and landscapes
Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

Day 07 Arequipa

Breakfast in the hotel
Guided city tour and visit to the Santa Catalina Monastery
Return to the hotel.

Day 08 Arequipa / Juliaca – Puno

Breakfast in the hotel
Morning free to rest
Transfer to the airport. Leave to Juliaca
Arrival and transfer to Puno

Day 09 Puno

Breakfast in the hotel
Guided visit to the Floating Islands of Uros through the TiticacaLake and Sillustani preinca ruins.
Return to the hotel.

Day 10 Puno / La Paz

Breakfast in the hotel
Catamaran and coach combined service departing Puno early in the morning passing through Chucuito, Juli and Pomata typical colonial small villages on the shores of Lake Titicaca Upon arrival in Copacabana, and after a short visit to the Cathedral, embark on the catamaran for a cruise to the Island of the Sun; where we will visit the Pre-Hispanic ruins such us as the perron of Yumani, the Source of the Youthfulness and Pillkoqaima visit the archaeological complex and participate in an ancient ceremony, the Cordillera Real is our background. Continue on another two and half hour crossing through the Tiquina straight to Huatajata. Visit the reed boat makers’ museum and proceed by bus to La Paz. Lunch provided on board. Arrival directly to the hotel.

Day 11 La Paz / Potosi

Breakfast in the hotel
Guided city tour and visit to the MoonValley.
Transfer to the airport. Leave to Sucre.
Arrival and transfer to Potosi.

Day 12 Potosi / Uyuni

Breakfast in the hotel.
Full day tour to Salares de Uyuni by private bus includes box lunch.
Transfer to the hotel.

Day13 Uyuni / Potosi

Breakfast in the hotel
Leave to Potosí by private bus. Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Rest of the day free to rest

Day14 Potosi / Sucre

Breakfast in the hotel
Full day tour: visit to the city, Casa de la Moneda and Santa Teresa by private bus (full day service) Leave to Sucre and arrival to the hotel.

Day 15 Sucre

Breakfast in the hotel
Guided city tour to its more interesting places
Transfer to the hotel.

Day 16 Sucre / La Paz

Full day Tarabuco Sunday Market by private bus Includes lunch
Return to Sucre and transfer to the airport. Leave to La Paz

Day 17 La Paz

Half day tour to Tiwanacu preinca ruins.

Day 18 La Paz / Cusco

Day 21 Cusco / Puerto Maldonado

Transfer to the airport Leave to Puerto Maldonado
Welcome and transfer from the Puerto Maldonado airport to the city pier. Preparation for the trip on the Madre de DiosRiver. Visit to the Puerto Maldonado city market, where you can buy Brazil nuts, aguajes, pacays, coconas, cashew nuts, and star apples, as well as other typical tropical forest fruits and nuts and local handicrafts made with seeds from the Amazon region. This activity can be carried out on arrival or departure from Puerto Maldonado, depending on flight schedules.

Embark on 45-minute trip downriver in outboard motor boat. Along the river one can appreciate caimans (alligators), birds and flowers, etc., native to the region. Arrival at the lodge, situated on the left bank of the Madre de Dios river. Welcome, explanation of the architecture and orientation of the lodge, built entirely by local indigenous people using axes and machetes and according to Iñapari, Mashco, Amaracair, Dipo and Ese-Eja customs. After being shown to your cabin, lunch in the panoramic dining room. Time for a short siesta in our hammock area or comfortably installed in your cabin. In the afternoon, a two-hour guided walk on the botanical trail beside the lodge, explanation of the exuberant flora and fauna. Mid-afternoon excursion to MonkeyIsland where one can observe up to five species of monkeys: the howling monkey (Alonnatta seniculus), the white capuchin monkey (Cebus albifrons), the black capuchin monkey (Cebus apella), the maquisapa (Ateles paniscus) and the pichico (Saguinus fuscicollis).

Night stroll along the riverbank to observe baby caimans (alligators) and other nocturnal animals. When the sky is clear, the stars of the Southern Hemisphere can be contemplated. Typical dinner in the dining room. A good time to ask our local guides about the tropical forest

Day 22 Puerto Maldonado

Buffet-style tropical breakfast in the dining room
20-minutes crossing by motor boat of the Madre de Dios to the right bank. An hour’s walk through the tropical forest. During the 3 km stretch one can appreciate plants, trees, some Batrachia (toads and frogs) and reptiles, a variety of birds and throughout the whole walk, dancing multicolored butterflies. At the end of the path, setting off by rowboat to glide along a canal through the marsh to solitary, magnificent LakeSANDOVAL.

This lake offers extraordinary scenery of placid waters surrounded by palm, aguaje and other primary forest trees. During the journey one can observe the rich flora and fauna of the place: river otters, caimans (alligators) turtles and Amazonian birds with the hoatzin or “Shansho” (a prehistoric-looking bird, Opithocamus hoazin or stink bird), parrots, black skimmers and herons, among others. Possibility of swimming in the lake

Return to Madre de Dios to board the motor boat. Brief trip to disembark and walk 5 minutes through the wet forest through plantings of cacao trees, coffee bushes and other plants to discover the famous boat Fitzcarrald, run aground many years ago and covered with vegetation. This boat was used in the past as an itinerate hospital to help indigenous communities. Return to the lodge by boat.
Lunch in the panoramic dining room. Time out for a nap. 

Day 23 Puerto Maldonado / Lima

Buffet-style tropical breakfast in the dining room
Return to the city of Puerto Maldonado. Transfer to the airport. Return to Lima.
Arrival and transfer to the hotel Guided tour to Pachacamac preinca ruins. Return to the hotel
PM Dinner in tourist restaurant of Peruvian typical food

Day 24 Lima

Breakfast in the hotel
Transfer to the airport and stand by to connect international flight.
